A dependent claim is a claim to the invention of the parent claim with the added feature: it is not a claim to the added feature alone. Natron Corp. v. Schurka U.S.A. Inc., 558 F.3d 1352, 1358 (Fed. Cir. 2009). Therefore, our analysis of a conditional limitation is the same regardless of whether the limitation appears in an independent claim or a dependent claim.
