Claim 13 recites "a forwarding module, a storage module, and a filtering module." "'Module' is a well-known nonce word that can operate as a substitute for 'means' in the context of [§ 112(f).]" Williamson v. Citrix Online, LLC, 792 F.3d 1339, 1350 (Fed. Cir. 2015) (en banc). The absence of adequate structure corresponding to limitations interpreted under § 112(f) renders those limitations indefinite under § 1 12(b). Id. at 1351—52. We leave to the Examiner to determine whether the modules in claim 13 should be interpreted under § 112(f) and, if so, determine whether the corresponding structure is disclosed adequately. See MPEP § 2181 (I) (9th ed. Rev. 7, Mar. 2014) (providing guidelines to examiners for determining whether a claim limitation invokes § 112(f) and instructing that "module" may invoke § 112(f))
