The dissent correctly notes that MacCready teaches that each wing section be self-supporting in terms of a “preference” rather than a requirement.  Dissent, 8.  But this does not justify ignoring this teaching altogether.  “A reference ‘must [be] considered for all it taught,’” and “even if a reference is not found to teach away, its statements regarding preferences are relevant to a finding regarding whether a skilled artisan would be motivated to” modify the reference in the manner claimed.  Polaris Indus., Inc. v. Arctic Cat, Inc., 882 F.3d 1056, 1069 (Fed. Cir. 2018).
