 As such, because each of claims 1 and 21 recites that the claimed probe is configured for communication with an ultrasound console, the probe and the ultrasound console constitute separate elements and, therefore, the Examiner’s interpretation of Bartlett’s DPU 1 and probe 2 as constituting together the claimed “probe” is unreasonable. See Engel Indus., Inc. v. Lockformer Co., 96 F.3d 1398, 1404—05 (Fed. Cir. 1996) (construing separate claim terms as reciting separate structures).
